Boilers account for around 60% of the carbon dioxide emissions in a gas heated home. By fitting a new high efficiency condensing boiler with full heating controls, you will significantly cut your home's carbon dioxide emissions and could save as much as £270 a year.
What is a high efficiency condensing boiler?
A high efficiency condensing boiler works on the principle of recovering as much as possible of the waste heat which is normally wasted from the flue of a conventional (non-condensing) boiler. The best high efficiency condensing boilers convert more than 90% of their fuel into heat, compared to 78% for conventional types.
Is my boiler a high efficiency condensing boiler?
If your boiler is an A-rated boiler according to SEDBUK ratings then it is a high efficiency condensing boiler.
Heating controls
Heating controls will keep your home at a comfortable temperature, making it warm when you want it but switching off when you don't. They include: a programmer, a room thermostat, a combined programmable room thermostat, a cylinder thermostat and Thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs).
Boiler Replacement
After a time the cheaper boilers suffer corrosion and breakdowns, all boilers begin to fail over the years. If there are several faults on an old boiler or a fault requires expensive work and parts, we recommend a new boiler. We cannot guarantee repairs via replacement parts to old boilers will fix the problem permanently, often when boilers start going wrong everything starts to go and it costs more to replace the parts than go for a new boiler.
Powerflushing is the most thorough and effective way to cleanse existing systems - and hot flushing is more effective than cold flushing. But the method used depends on your make of boiler, as does the type of cleanser.
